Easily search films by title on your Samsung
Searching for movies at Rakuten TV is simple. Just go to the "Search" section located in the upper left of the application’s main menu, easily identified by a magnifying glass icon. Once there, enter the title of the movie you’d like to watch (or at least its first three characters) and the search will generate a list of matching titles. You can also directly access the search menu from your Samsung remote control by pressing the green button with the letter "B".
Rent for 48 hours
Rakuten TV offers two options for viewing content: renting and buying. For contractual reasons some films can only be rented while others can only be purchased, but in the majority of cases the two options are available.
Rented content will be available in your Library for 48 hours from the time of rental. You can watch such content as many times as you like within those 48 hours. Your Library (located on the top right side of our website’s Home page) is accessed by signing in with your username and password.
Buying and unlimited viewing
Purchased movies and TV series become available in your Library for up to three years.
At the moment, for technical reasons, it is not yet possible to download your purchases to a physical medium such as a computer or DVD. However, you can easily access and view your content as many times as you want. All you need to do is sign in to Rakuten TV with your username and password, and click on the Library button located on the top right of the website.
Rented or purchased TV series and movies become available on any compatible device paired to your Rakuten TV account. All your content is accessible on your Library regardless of the platform where you made the purchase or rental. Currently, it is only possible to pay using a Visa or MasterCard.
HD only on TVs
We currently have a selection of titles available in HD (High Definition) although for contractual reasons we cannot offer HD content on our website. However, this content can be rented from our website and viewed in HD on your TV or Rakuten TV compatible device.
To see if a movie is available in HD simply enter the movie’s information page and verify the available video quality options: SD stands for Standard Definition and HD stands for High
