Purchasing content through our Android Mobile app is a seamless process that allows you to enjoy your favourite movies and TV shows effortlessly. Follow the steps below to make a purchase using in-app purchases:
1. Open the App: Launch the Rakuten TV app on your Android mobile device.
2. Log in or create your account.
2.1 Creating an Account:
Users have multiple options for account creation and login:

1. When accessing content, simply click on "Rent" or "Buy," and the registration/login screen will appear automatically.

2. Alternatively, select "My Library" from the menu, and the registration/login screen will also appear automatically.
Registration/Login Options:
For New Users:
- Click the "Registration" button displayed on the screen.
- Complete all required fields to create a Rakuten TV account.
For Existing Users:
- Click the "Sign In" button on the screen.
- Enter the login credentials associated with the existing Rakuten TV account."
3. Browse Content: Explore our vast library of movies and TV shows to find the content you'd like to purchase. You can use the search bar or browse through categories to discover new titles.
4. Select Content: Once you've found the content you want to purchase, tap on it to view more details.
5. Purchase: Look for the "Purchase" or "Rent" button on the content's page and tap on it to initiate the purchase process.
6. Confirm Purchase: Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your purchase. For mobile, only one payment method is available - in-app purchase.
7. Enjoy Your Content: Once the purchase is complete, you can start enjoying your content immediately. You'll have access to it through the app's library or your account.
Important Note: In-app purchases are processed securely through the Google Play Store, and your payment information is protected.
Please note that you cannot use Rakuten points or vouchers to make a discount on mobile devices. However, you can use them on the Rakuten TV website and play the content from your Android device.
